Dave Stacy is a senior financial executive with experience in several industries. Before joining MLA Companies, Dave was the CFO and Director of Operations at The Dayton Art Institute, where he oversaw finance, IT, facilities maintenance and the facility rental/retail operation. He also directed the organization’s endowment, financing and capital planning.
Dave began his career as an auditor with Ernst & Ernst (now EY) where he was focused on health care and university audits. After earning his MBA, he served in various Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) roles at NCR Corporation, and was responsible for pricing, budgeting and long range planning activities in NCR’s domestic marketing organization. His team regularly presented to senior management in support of pricing decisions, major proposals, revenue and profit forecasts, cost allocations and special projects.
Since then he has been with not-for-profit organizations, including a senior living/long term care organization with an endowment foundation, health maintenance organizations and a museum. He has worked on acquisitions and divestitures. His skills include FP&A, financial accounting, cost allocation, pricing and treasury. Additionally, he has managed employee benefits, retirement plans and other HR functions. He is proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Sage MAS 90.
Dave earned a B.S. degree from Bowling Green State University and an MBA from Wright State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a longstanding member of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Dave volunteers as a board member for Culture Works and the Dayton Life Enrichment Center, and serves at St. Vincent de Paul. He served on the City of Kettering’s Bicycle & Pedestrian Task Force during 2011 and 2012, and was a member of the Leadership Dayton Class of 2015. He was an adjunct accounting instructor for Sinclair Community College and has made presentations to several groups on financial and other topics.
Dave is an avid reader and runner. He and his wife Ginny live in Kettering and attend Fairhaven Church. They have a son who lives and works in the Dayton area.
