As an experienced people manager, accountant, and tax advisor, Charlie brings 22 years of professional experience in the U.S. military, automotive, nuclear, retail, and leadership consulting industries. His passion for numbers and analytical mindset led Charlie to pursue a B.S. in Accounting in Tax Specialty degree.
While completing his education at Kaplan University, he took on a job of an Accounts Payables Manager and managed performance of seven accounts payable specialists for a student-run company. Charlie was instrumental in auditing and revamping the financial records of three divisions from over two years of operational activities. He implemented the accounting standards compliant with federal and state laws and regulations.
After graduation, Charlie joined H&R Block as Tax Specialist and was promoted to a Senior Tax Analyst after the first season. He utilized federal, state, and local codes to provide clients the maximum benefit permitted under the law. Charlie was successful in uncovering inconsistencies in financial records and advised his customers against liabilities. He was personally responsible for processing close to 300 tax returns and received one of the highest customer satisfaction ratings.
In January 2016, Charlie co-founded an online retail business and managed end-to-end business set up and accounting procedures development. He ensured consistency and adherence to GAAP standards and managerial accounting principles while producing monthly, quarterly, and year-end statements. He developed and analyzed processes, audited books, and accounting systems. As business grew, Charlie continued to improve business efficiency and contributed to 600-customer base growth within 1.5 years.
In May 2016, Charlie was hired as an Accountant for XCaliber Coaching & Consulting LLC, a fast-growing leadership coaching and consulting business, to conduct financial audit, manage journal entries and account reconciliation, and conduct research and analysis of the accounting data. He collaborated with the owner and provided strategic growth advice for an aggressive annual revenue growth.
In addition to his professional accolades, Charlie is a devoted husband and a loving father to three children. He enjoys nothing more than family game night and volunteering at his daughter’s elementary school, proudly serving as a role model and mentor for young boys as a valued member of the Watch DOGS program.
