Mr. Perkins is a Principal for MLA Companies where he uses his skills to support clients who seek a senior level professional with a broad scope of experience and expertise in the finance fields.
Perkins is a senior finance executive who brings 28 years of experience as a Certified Public Accountant. His experience has given him expertise in all aspects of the closely held business’s financial issues. This includes all finance, banking, tax and compliance, valuation, credit, risk management, budgeting and forecasting, finance IT utilization, and human resource issues.
Perkins was Senior Partner in a local firm that grew from 3 to 10 staff, while increasing billings tenfold. He served clients in the manufacturing, health, professional and personal service industries. In addition to providing all financial reporting, corporate, payroll and individual tax preparation functions, Norm consistently worked to enhance the business model and improve productivity and potential for each client. He worked closely with the business owners/officers and their staff to insure that decisions were made that reflected both a top-down and a bottom-up methodology.
Norm served on the executive committee, including president, of the Public Accountants Society of Ohio (PASO). He was a presenter for several years, on various practice management subjects, for both the PASO and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accounts. Mr. Perkins taught accounting courses at Clark State, and currently serves the Greater Dayton area as trainer and consultant to the non-profit sector.
Perkins is a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Perkins holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Wright State University with a triple major in accounting, finance and economics.
Perkins is married, has three children and six grandchildren and resides in Butler Township, Ohio.
