Prior to joining MLA, Rod was a partner in R & R Professional Services, a Business Consulting Firm providing financial advisory services to multiple companies. Before R&R, Rod was a Vice President of Finance & Administration for McGohan Brabender, a Dayton-based Employee Benefits & Health Risk Management Firm.
Prior to that, Rod was CFO for the Dayton-based Engineering Firm of Shaw, Weiss, and DeNaples. There he formulated and executed a turnaround plan to correct serious financial problems. After the death of the founder, he helped with the liquidation/sale of the firm and related businesses.
In 1996, Rod was owner and Managing Partner for M.D.V. Sports Enterprise, a start-up business in Youth Baseball Instruction/Training. He sold that business in 1999. Before that, Rod was Director of Finance & Administration for Advanced Computer Systems/BancTec, a Bank Software Developer.
Rod has a B.S. in Business Administration from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio, with a Major in Accounting and Finance Management.
